For July, Code Red brings you giallo, a coup, and a basketball!

In July, we will be releasing three very different films!

On July 14th, we will unleash to an unsuspecting public the first basketball slasher/comedy, NIGHT OF THE DRIBBLER! The DVD will feature an audio commentary with star Fred Travalena and HOSTEL producer Scott Spiegel, moderated by BEAT THE GEEKS movie geek Marc Edward Heuck. Other extras include an on-camera interview with co-star George Thomas, and the original trailer. MSRP is $19.98.

Then on July 21st, we will release the 1978 action-thriller POWER PLAY! This coup d'etat thriller stars Oscar winner Peter O'Toole, and cult stars David Hemmings, Donald Pleasence, Barry Morse, Alberta Watson, Michael Ironside and Dick Cavett, and was directed by award winner Martyn Burke. The film will be presented in 16x9 widescreen. Extras include an audio commentary by director Martyn Burke, an on-camera interview with co-star George Touliatos, as well as an original trailer. MSRP is $24.98.

Then on July 28th, we will release for the first time on U.S home-video, the Italian giallo THE WEEKEND MURDERS. Starring opera star Anna Moffo, as well as Euro-cult stars Evelin Stewart, Peter Baldwin, and Gaston Mochin, the film will be presented for the first time anywhere in 16x9 widescreen at 2.35:1, and it has been mastered in Hi-Def! Also included are an audio commentary with star Peter Baldwin and HOSTEL producer Scott Spiegel, moderated by Lee Christian, as well as an on-camera interview with Baldwin, a still gallery, and the original trailer. MSRP is $24.98.

For August, we will have the U.S DVD debut of Brian Trenchard Smith's STUNT ROCK, as well as some more EXPLOITATION CINEMA double bills, including never before released Horace Jackson's DELIVER US FROM EVIL, plus FOX AFFAIR, and TEENAGE GRAFFITI, plus TEENAGE MOTHERS, and many more. Stay tuned!

Good work Code Red for being so even handed and only ever publishing the positive blog entries. I have posted about 6 messages asking about Butcher Baker Nightmare Maker and NOT ONE has been listed. I think it is fair for people like me - who buy your products- to at least be given some kind of answer (not simply ignored) when making a legitimate enquiry about an upcoming product.
I'll try again (here goes) "Can you please update your supporters on the status of Butcher Baker Nightmare Maker?"
Thanks

I love the originl cover artwork of "Weekend Murders", but the red brush strokes under the red title are so distracting and untimely.

I've never seen that artwork for POWER PLAY before! I'm glad you are releasing the movie under this title, which is how I originally saw it. Initially in production it was titled COUP D'ETAT but after it went into release it seemed to play both as POWER PLAY and as STATE OF SHOCK, and it went out on video under both titles as well. It was also be great to see an interview with George Touliatos, a character actor whose work I always enjoyed.

I don't mind the red strokes on the Weekend Murders poster. I mean, it is so minimal to the fact that it is the original artwork. So, hoora!

Is there anywhere to pre-order these releases yet?

I am wondering the same Ebion, Night of the Dribbler is out in less than 5 weeks so hoping to preorder anytime now!

Am worried now, four weeks until one of these titles is released and not one of them is out for preorder yet.

Code red, please say they are still coming?

I'm guessing Dribbler may be pushed ahead...Weekend Murders though should be available for order sooon. I hope.

I have to say it's not looking good for weekend murders either, that one is only out two weeks later than Dribbler and is not up anywhere...also power paly is supposed to be out in the middle of the two and that also isnt avaliable anywhere.
