Why sell some titles direct? Are sales that bad for obscure films? Well, selling 600 copies is simply not enough to break even. Once upon a time back in 1976, an east-coast singer named Peter Lemongello released an LP album called "LOVE 76" and placed direct-sales TV ads all over New York stations, and then placed ads in California and west coast stations. This album started the whole TV album sales craze back then and it sold a million copies. And he was just a singer singing cover versions of today's hits (well, it was today's hits in '76). The man proved to the world that a nobody singer could penetrate the music and home shopping industry just by advertising on TV, as people will buy things direct. Titles like NIGHTMARE are still in the red ink, so selling direct is the only answer for customers in the world. So right now, Code Red is the Peter Lemongello of the dvd world.

Hey, I think this is a great idea, anything to keep Code Red alive and your great titles coming.
That's cool with me. I don't mind the direct sale thing as long as the titles keep on coming. Though please update your site soon to let us know exactly what you have in the pipeline.
Code Red
When are you going to make available your existing films for direct sale?
I'd like to buy Night Of The Demon and The Visitor.
I love your work, keep it up. I will continue to buy Code Red titles anyway I have to.
Just received Ghostkeeper. Loved it. Please update your site so I can order more titles. BTW, I have every DVD you released.

I think this is a brilliant idea - living in Scotland, UK its much easier for me to buy direct from Code Red - Big supporter of the Code Red label - some really fantastic releases - keep up the great work. Can't wait for 'Ghostkeeper' to arrive :-)
Looking forward to future releases too :-)
Great news, when will you be selling your older titles?

Butcher Baker Nightmare Maker seems a bit strong of a title to only hit the online store. Then again, for me, I will take it up any way I can. Love that flick!
Fine with me so long as I can use my Debit card which has a Visa logo. Messiah Of Evil:The Second Coming was for sale on deepdiscount.com recently. I had ordered it Sunday night, but it looks like it didn't go through since now the dvd is longer listed as being for sale on their site. I'm still interested in buying the above title. Do you still plan on selling Messiah Of Evil?
I think it's a great idea! I remember years back you had something up called the Code Red DVD Store which redirected visitors to Amazon.com whenever they clicked on the dvd front cover artwork of a particular title. I hope you can take Debit cardsw/Visa Logos.
I think it's a great idea! I hope you can accept Debit Cards that have Visa Logos!
