HOLD THE PRESS! NEW LAST MINUTE EXTRA ON "NIGHTMARE

Special effects make-up artist Edward French, Oscar Nominee and Emmy Winner, quickly gave CODE RED a last minute interview regarding the New York gore scene in NIGHTMARE! French told us about his involvement in the effects, including who made the decapitated head, and who supervised it and who was there. Cleve Hall did the Florida scenes, but now we'll all finally know who did the bloody final scene! French also gave us some other wonderful stories regarding RIOT ON 42nd STREET, BLOOD RAGE, BREEDERS and DEADTIME STORIES. The insghtful interview will hopefully be edited on time and be featured on the dvd!

An amazing and no doubt informative extra on what has to be one of the most controversial and sought after DVD's among fan circles. I'm anxious to see this one again, as well as check out these extras!

I thought 'we' all knew Savini was only the 'advisor' for the axe scene... anyway, a nice 'completetist' extra - I hope noone 'doth protest too much'on camera at Savini's legal insistance.

I'm more happy that your DVD lists both 4:3 and 1.78:1 prints of the film - I hope this is a genuine cine-sourced 1.78:1 [1.85:1 surely?] print AND NOT a 4:3 pan & scan crop with fake matting..? I have a very scratchy old Kunst Video cine to CDR 1.85:1 transfer and you can really tell the difference between it and a pan & scan print.

What's the chance of a blu-ray release? I mean, since you're using a HiDef print?

Will the hour-long Scavolini interview make an appearance, fully subtitled or not?

The "mondo public service" extra, is that the hour-long interview docu with Scavolini? Has it been fully subtitled yet?

Bill, you already stated that the DVD will be released in an HD anamorphic transfer. Please stay true to your words. Also, where is Julie Darling? Was it scrapped? I was planning to scoop it right up. What's the holdup? Any word on Butcher Baker Nightmare Maker, Mardi Gras Massacre, and Night Of The Demon? Please update us.

Mardi Gras Massacre is the most exciting release yet. I cannot wait to get my hands on this gem of a movie!

This is one I'm looking forward to, I haven't seen it since I was very young. I remember it fondly.

Not a bad release overall, but I'd like to know the point of including the Scavo interview unsubtitled. That's about as useful to most people as a DVD rewinder. Way to go.
About as interesting as watching paint dry.
