Code Red DVD To Release Ghostkeeper
Due to overwhelming demand from horror fans, Code Red has acquired the 1981 Canadian slasher film Ghostkeeper.
A trio of friends on a snowmobile trip in the Canadian Rockies become lost after venturing up a trail during a bad snowstorm. They stumble upon a seemingly abandoned hotel lodge and decide to spend the night, unaware of the grave danger that they have put themselves in.
Internet columnist Amanda By Night says, “this Canadian horror film is slasher and monster lite, but has oodles of snow and deep synthesizer sounds to keep you going. Like ‘Madman’, or more appropriately, ‘The Prey’.”
Director Jim Makichuk is on hand to create extras for this lost slasher.
Street date TBA.

The best news yet, IMO! This flick is a slow-burn that just oozes macabre atmosphere. I hope to hear a director commentary on this one!
Looking forward to Ghostkeeper. Not a title I expected to pop up on a legit DVD!
Can't wait!
Great news....
And how about CURTAINS????
I would love for you guys to get the rights to another unsung 80's classic, DEADLINE (1981) directed by Mario Azzopardi, starring Stephen Young. GREAT movie, with lots of gore, and a thought provoking storyline. And while I am dreaming- BLOOD RAGE aka NIGHTMARE AT SHADOW WOODS, UNCUT!
Great titles LorriLives, and what about the Christopher George film Mortuary (1981) ?? Who owns this title?
@andy said...check DVDAF. Mortuary is now owned by Liberation Entertainment. This has just happened recently....this release will certainly happen this year.
@andy said....check out DVDAF. Mortuary has been acquired by Liberation Entertainment. This has just happened recently and probably will see a release this year.
Great to see another lost 80's slasher/horror film, Ghostkeeper, released on DVD.
Hope Code Red can release more 70's and 80's horror films. I doubt it will happen, but I'd like to see The Name of the Game is Kill (1968), Deadly Strangers (1974), Gemini Affair (1975), To All a Good Night (1980), New Year's Evil (1980), Graduation Day (1981), Night School (1981), Too Scared to Scream (1985) and Lover's Lane (1999) released on DVD.

This movie looks pretty cool.
These are the kind of releases that I love Code Red for!
Great! I haven't seen Ghostkeeper since the 80s. I always wanted to see it again. This movie will be mine!
Warner Bros. is promising to get Night School out this year. Graduation day has been released to DVD twice! Lovers Lane has been put out on DVD already also.
Code Red needs to stick to titles yet unreleased to DVD.
(Praying) Please let everything go as planned for this release!
Can't wait to own this one! It's so great! I love Code Red! Now if only we could get Hospital Massacre...
To the poster who replied about some of the films I asked about...there was no harm in me asking, because not everyone knows if certain horror/slasher horror films are already available on DVD. Based on the Amazon.com pages for the two Graduation Day releases, both are in fullscreen ratio.

Really looking forward on this one!!!!!!
Great news BUT Code Red DVDs are not always easy to find. 'Primal Rage' for example can be found in amazon only from pricegougers, and DeepDiscount doesn't carry many at all. I've picked up many of your releases and will double-dip on 'Ghostkeeper' (I have the Sinister Cinema DVD) because you deliver the goods...as long as I can find it.
great news! no shit!
this will be awsome i rent this gem 2 times at a videostore near where i live the print was horrible this film is kind of creepy weddigo legend meet a slasher and a traditional ghost story rolled into one, cant wait for this one code red is the best damn company ever..
