Code Red signs a deal with VCX to release their catalog titles.

Code Red has inked an exclusive deal with VCX to release their back catalog titles of horror films. VCX has opened the vault to give us several classics, like the demonic gory-torture film MARDI GRAS MASSACRE, the Bigfoot run rampant classic NIGHT OF THE DEMON (1980), and the 1978 occult classic HAUNTED starring Aldo Ray!! David Sutton, President of VCX says, "I look forward to Code Red releasing some of our non-adult films back into the marketplace for all the fans to enjoy them once again." We at Code Red are very excitied about this business venture with VCX and hope to release these films before September 2011!

More details will follow.

GREAT!!!!!!!! GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! For Me, MARDI GRAS MASSACRE would be the dvd release of the year and even BEYOND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The other two films are amazing, too, of course!

One humble request:

Please, retain in some way, as an introduction to the films or an extra, the old vhs VCX/VCII logo with the bombastic library music and the robotic, pigeon English as a second language sounding female bimbo porno slut voice saying, "THIS, is a VCII Pres-En-Tation!"

LOL That KILLS me, it is brilliant genius and MUST be given a second life as well as the films!!!!!!!

PLEASE, Bill!!!!!!!!!!!

........Perhaps the release of MARDI GRAS MASSACRE will also divulge (via a Jack Weis interview? *crosses fingers*) the possibly paranormal mystery behind that opening "Mardi Gras Massacre" title card still image, you know, the lengthy opening shot informing you of the title of what you are about to see, look carefully at this, a ghostly misshapen seemingly "human" form appears amorphously billowing across it.... ....Everyone, look again at your tapes....it's really there and truly disturbing.....!!!!!!!!!!!

you're going to advertise on the Night OF The Demon cover that a guy gets his dick ripped off, right? That will increase sales for sure

Hey guys from Code Red...
I'm always reading reviews or actually, it's more like shitty letters about everything you release, in fact, yeah I know there is some people, true fans, that are grateful of having releases on dvd of The Sole Survivor, The Dead are Alive, The Dead Pit, etc, but it's more common to read complains about every single release than gratitude, when it is not because the original trailer looks like it was taken from a vhs is because there is not enough extras or the cover for the dvd is too colorful. I've heard just shit about your release of PETS and you know what, I just got pets on the mail today and I was hoping to see an image quality similar of the one I saw in the Troma release of The Children. U know what, it was not. It's just a damaged print with scratches and grain and as a fan of horror from the 70s n 80s I'm used to see damaged prints n I actually kinda like the way it looks, I think it gives to the movie a little something and I don't think I'm the only one, in 2007 Rodriguez and Tarantino made two movies and intentionally added the effect of the print being severely damaged and everybody thought it was the coolest thing, now why everybody is acting like a bitch when the thing is real? Also, I rather having your release of PETS than the one from non-fucking-existent co. It sucks that there is not gonna be code red after summer 2011, so I just wanna say thanks for all the movies that u guys released, keep going till summer giving horror fans the opportunity of having on dvd the movies we love and can't find anywhere and congrats about the VCX/VCII deal, those are pretty cool news!!!

Night of the Demon. Never thought I'd see the day. Amazing, guys.

Now Night of the Demon is a superb film! The final carnage in the house is just mad - a saw-blade to the guts and intestine flinging a-go-go.

SO, how far is NIGHTMARE going to slip by, please? It was slated for late 2010...

I never thought I would see Night of the Demon released! It is actually one of my favorite movies of all time! There is nothing else like it out there! I'm ready to buy five copies!

I'm also going to get Mardi Gras Massacre as well. I'll probably get Haunted as well even though I have never heard of it before.

Sign me up for your releases of "Night of the Demon" and "Mardis Gras Massacre" when they come out and try and include some original trailers on there (theres a teaser out there for Mardis Gras Massacre on YouTube so I know one exists for that).

I shall look forward to these!
