Code Red looks into THE UNSEEN

Code Red has acquired the 1981 thriller THE UNSEEN, starring cult faves Barbara Bach, Sidney Lassick, Stephen Furst, Doug Barr and Karen Lamm. We will be doing a new 16x 9 master from the original IP, and special features to include an audio commentary with veteran producer Tony Unger and star Stephen Furst moderated by Lee Christian, photo gallery, and more extras TBA. This is a very twisted tale, and we hope it will find a new audience with this release!

totally agreed. What's the story with Code Red...are any of these movies EVER actually going to get a release. It seems this is now the "coming soon if soon means 2 years or more" distributor. Hurry things up pleeeeaase.

Cute... code red posted a response above and then removed it. Getting frustrated with us yet? Then please give us the info we ask for, since we ARE keeping you in business (yes, I've purchased Don't Go In The Woods and Doom Asylum). WE DEMAND NIGHTMARE UPDATES. To be honest, I'm getting so frustrated over this crap (seeing new titles that no one really cares about being acquired yet little info released on the ones we DO) and am right ready to start boycotting the company. I can live with my Nightmare bootleg. This hush-hushness does NOTHING but upset the consumer. Smarten up, guys.

What kind of updates do you want? I think they've been clear that they're waiting for Scavolini's involvement and are still working on the master. Get a grip people.

Ya, anon 5:29pm sounds more like a troll than anything else. He "demands" and cries and whines for updates like a baby. Grow up, kid! We've received numerous updates. If that's not enough for you, crawl back in your hole and carry out your silly one-man boycott. Personally, I am looking forward to quite a few Code Red titles and am thrilled to see announcements and updates on the other releases, not just NIGHTMARE. There is more than one movie in this world, dude, and not everyone thinks NIGHTMARE is the best film ever made. If all you want to do is whine and cry, go sit in your mommy's lap.

The whining about Nightmare is all over the IMDB boards, as well. Considering the DVD doesn't even have a release date yet, I'm not sure what more people seem to expect.

What freakin' info you want? The DVD is probably a year from release. They've covered the basics already, and then some.

Don't single Code Red out for their sparse release schedule. Go to any of the quality outfits and look at their "Coming Soon" menus. You'll notice a lack of concrete release dates--if any at all--until the title is a scant 2 or so months away.

Just go to Barrel Entertainment. They have 1-2 releases a year. Frustrating? Sure, but it ain't the end of the world. You also might want to note that Barrel puts out some of the best DVDs available, loaded with quality features.

Quality merchandise takes time.

Griping because you're not being given the scoop on every decision regarding a DVD seems like a huge waste of time. At some point, certain people are going to have to drop their over developed sense of entitlement.

That said, I do wonder just how many of these announcements will actually end with releases. Code Red seems to have a dangerously full plate.

Anyway...

I'd also like to point out that one of the trailers on the Boardinghouse DVD is for Nightmare.

So, things are moving right along.
