Ugh, I haven't seen the movie, but I just shared this with the Facebook group. We're up to 508 Code Red fans! Hopefully, many of them will chime in. I'm curious how LQ will respond to the feedback.
Have seen the movie before. Liked it then; like it now. Please don't mess with it!

Yeah, it's a great film. Any film can be critiqued but uh...please tell me you're not trying to re-edit the original, because that would be an awful idea.
As it stands, it's a diamond in a rough. Beautiful filmmaking.
Just watched the Code Red DVD last week. I had never seen this movie before...I don't know, maybe it had something to do with the fantastically beautiful women filling the screen, but I enjoyed it quite a lot. Visually, I loved it. There were some fantastic shots throughout. The characters were interesting. The performances were engaging. The story was straightforward, but never dull. I can't think of anything that could improve this film. It was an entirely pleasant experience for me, one that I'll be repeating in the near future.
LQ, really enjoyed The Witchmaker! The only thing I would have changed were the positioning of the blonde chick's hands when she is running naked during the initial rock spell scene. Lol.
Loved you in THE BEAST WITHIN(and many other great films)!!!!

I thought it had an incredibly vivid plot that wasn't fully realized in the finished product. It was still a fun little movie the type that used to play on television at all hours of the morning years back. I did a review for it if you'd like to share it with L.Q.

Hi LQ. First off, I must tell you that I've been a fan of this movie since I was a kid. It used to pop up every now and then on our local Creature Features TV show and even better, it was shown uncut!
Most independent horror pictures at the time were slow, badly made affairs with amateurish acting, poorly written screenplays and indifferent direction, but THE WITCHMAKER clearly aspired for much more and was a welcome breath of fresh air.
I think my favorite scenes (next to Thordis Brandt running around in her bikini, that is), are the ones between Luther and Jesse. There's a wonderful camaraderie between these two villains that's often funny and surprisingly good-natured. They're definitely not your average, run-of-the-mill , one dimensional horror movie bad guys!
I recently bought the DVD through Amazon and was impressed all the more. What a pleasure it was to see WITCHMAKER in its original widescreen glory! It's a bit of a shame that the film print had the alternate film title, but hey, that's a minor quibble.
By the way, I also have BROTHERHOOD OF SATAN on DVD as well, another personal favorite.
Saw this film at the drive-in many years ago and loved it. Beautifully Shot, Hot Chicks, Great Storyline.
After watching the DVD, I loved it even more.
LQ, I would not change a thing.

Hi Folks, Hi LQ
I have nothing which is not thine. Code red is great and they did a good job releasing the witchmaker in an as clean as possible copy. It's my favorite witchcraft movie. LQ Jones is awesome and "a boy and his dog" and the witchmaker are great gems of independant cinema, some movies shouldn't be remade. Friendly from France
Saw it projected a couple of months back here in Los Angeles. Interesting little movie. Wanted more of the satanic/secret society weirdness. Good film overall, not great.
I just watched this for the first time last nite. I really enjoyed the film - although I wish there were more nekkid ladies in it (hee hee). The Code Red disc utilized a fairly worn print but the color was nice. I really enjoyed the performances and the atmosphere. The film is a nifty little time capsule - it could use a little tightening but why bother? I would recommend this to my friends who have a little more patience w/ older, slower films.
