BUTCHER BAKER NIGHTMARE MAKER update

We delayed BUTCHER BAKER NIGHTMARE MAKER from our October schedule for a reason: we were finally able to arrange an on camera interview with Jimmy McNichol! Since he is busy and no longer lives in L.A., we weren’t able to have him participate on the DVD earlier this year. However, he contacted us and told us he will be in L.A later this year and would love to participate. We felt to have his on camera interview and maybe even an audio commentary was well worth delaying the release for. Fans of the film will surely enjoy seeing how the 70’s teen idol is today, as well as hear what he has to say about the film! We hope you understand the last minute delay, and hope you feel it was the right decision. The DVD is now scheduled for release in April.

Thank you so much for the update! I'm very thrilled you will be talking to Jimmy McNichol. I am so excited for this release. The most wanted release on DVD for many many years. Love ya Code Red DVD!!!

agreed, this is the hottest dvd release to be on the horizon (even though that horizon is a little further away now). The McNichol delay is annoying but well worth it. It would be great if CodeRed could make this a real collectible. The release of I Drink Your Blood a few years ago with autographs, postcards, poster etc was the most sublime effort for an underground release. Let's hope you guys take similar care with Butcher Baker Nightmare Maker. Tyrrell's performance is so legendary in this film, that a 5 tsar release is mandatory. good luck. Please make it worth the wait.

Good news that BBNM hasn't been dropped, but how about updates on SILENT SCREAM and FORCED ENTRY?

You guys are a great label but need to catch up with Grindhouse in terms of creating fantastic DVD packages/extras. Their Pieces is just great. they may take a while but their stuff is always first rate. Anyway, BBNM is definitely the title to really strut your your stuff Code Red. April can't come soon enough.

YEP, GRINDHOUSE IS QUICKER TO RELEASE TITLES THAN THESE IDIOTS. SLOWWWWWWW. JUST GO OUT OF BUSINESS, YOU LOSERS.

You might want to reconsider what you just said, emo-fuck. Grindhouse releases a dvd like once every 4 years. Get your facts straight before you start shooting your emo mouth off.

Well you dropped it from October 2008 because you were interviewing Jimmy Mchnichol in April, which never happened and still hasnt happened and its almost OCTOBER 2009 a YEAR LATER and STILL DVD.
I mean how much longer do we have to wait? I want the movie and at this point could care less if Jimmy is on it or not. Obviously he isn't really that interested and you guys aren't too worried about getting it released..You could have flown to him and done the interviews and the commentary alot faster than this.

I hate to agree with Tim, but at this point, I've given up hope of seeing BBNM on DVD by you guys. And that's because I've purchased many of your titles. I bought myself a VHS->DVD recorder and transferred my THORN-EMI VHS of "Night Warning" (BBNM) onto DVD myself. LOL Same goes for the release of "Nightmare"....sure, when they come out I will buy them, but I'm not holding my breath anymore.
